Sweetfield Manor has old world charm that reminds you of its historic past. The central location, lush tropical gardens, wandering peacocks, mahogany trees, koi pond, unbelievable lagoon pool and the magical talking tree are just a few of the things your guests will really appreciate. Photo opportunities abound with lots of nooks in this authentic plantation house of bygone days.
We have an area in the upper grounds that can comfortably serve as a venue for the ceremony, whilst the lower grounds can accommodate the reception. Moving from the ceremony to the reception area through the bougainvillea arch, down the old coral stairs past the koi pond and gas torches is magical in itself. The fantastic lawn and spectacular view will render you and your guests speechless. Our team will be there with you from the beginning – they are truly amazing! Attention to detail and behind-the-scenes actions you will never know about are part of the pride our team takes in ensuring that your day is YOUR day.
Experience has taught us many things. As a result, we have our own tents which are enviably the most spectacular in Barbados! We stock a quantity of; Ghost Chiavari chairs for dining; white padded wooden chairs for the ceremony; round tables; rectangular tables and cocktail tables.
We ensure that we supply the very best quality items to be used in your wedding whilst at the same time keeping costs down. The property also has LED accent lighting which you are welcome to add too.
Whether you have an intimate twenty or a sophisticated two hundred on your guest list, we can ensure that both you and your guests smile when they think back to your wedding day.
Catering is all done in-house by our chef, and his amazing team. They are fantastic and detail oriented. Their exquisite dishes have garnered praise from all of our guests and have become that other ‘thing’ that makes Sweetfield Manor unique and wonderful in so many ways. You will never forget this day nor this venue.
Lower Grounds
Accessed down a wandering stone staircase with private spaces on either side hiding treasures like a koi pond, banana patch, herb garden and haleconia patch. The lower grounds open up in front of your guests at the bottom of the stairs like an oasis in a desert. Manicured green grass found on the luxurious golf courses in Barbados is rivalled by a lagoon pool with a waterfall providing that soft but relaxing sound of moving water. The view out to the ocean is only interrupted by the age-old Flamboyant tree. This was the grass tennis court in bygone days but now makes an excellent venue for weddings or receptions. While most brides choose to use this as the reception venue, the choice is yours. Large or small, the lower grounds can easily accommodate 200 seated guests under our fabulous private tents.

Application for marriage licences MUST be made in person by both parties at: Ministry of Home Affairs in Bridgetown, with ALL of the following documents:
